FY 2008 Advertising and Marketing Co-op Programs for Members

Why Advertise through the CVB?
The North of Boston CVB is a private, non-profit membership-based organization dedicated to promoting the 34 cities and towns of Essex County as a travel destination for visitors, meetings and group tours. As one of Massachusetts’ 13 regional tourism councils, the North of Boston CVB serves as a central source of information for the more than 2.7 million visitors who come to the region each year and fosters economic development through public and private partnerships. Membership advertising dollars coordinated through the CVB help us meet our State grant requirements and affect the overall funding available for the region.

The NBCVB helps our members by:

  • Negotiating discounted advertising group rates when possible
  • Helping to maximize members’ advertising dollars by researching and recommending quality advertising vehicles
  • Building brand recognition of the region through coordinated marketing campaigns.

North of Boston CVB Print Marketing Materials
We are offering advertising in our Visitors Guide and the Regional Driving Map, which will be incorporated into one piece this year. If you only have a limited advertising budget, it’s critical to be part of this new, combined collateral piece. The Regional Driving Map will be a pull-out section that also has sponsorship opportunities on it. The Visitors Guide/Maps are given out at more than a dozen targeted national and international travel trade shows, and are also used to fulfill any requests from visitors who call, email, click on our website or stop at the Visitor Center. It is also the follow-up piece sent to any leads from other magazines and programs. Sign up early to reserve your space. :

  • NBCVB’s award-winning Visitors Guide, designed to facilitate travel planning with a new handy, pull-out Regional Driving Map, designed to provide directions and highlight member’s locations.
  • NEW THIS YEAR: The NBCVB Calendar & Annual Report will include 2 sponsorships per month. This is a great way to highlight a special event, keep your name in front of members, partners, and state officials, and to associate your brand with the region’s natural beauty.  ( top of page )
