ArtsNorth
An existing group of non-profit cultural organizations dedicated to promoting the arts North of Boston. This group meets monthly and current goals include the printing and distribution of the ArtsNorth brochure and the staging of a kick off event

Sales Advisory Group
This group is made up property sales directors and meets monthly to review leads, to submit proposals and secure bookings for North of Boston region. Hotel occupancy data is reviewed and tracked. Tradeshow/convention input is also given.

Marketing Advisory Group
This group is made up of business service and attraction members and meets as needed to inform CVB marketing efforts. This group will review promotional ideas and encourage participation in region wide efforts. This group will provide CVB with input for cooperative advertising publications. Artsnorth will continue to serve as CVB’s cultural advisory group. FY05 focus is website redesign.

Special Events Committee
This group helps plan and implement the Bureau’s fundraising events.  The fundraising goal for FY 05 is $30,000. FY05 projects are Suite Sweepstakes Raffle and Sail into Summer.

Membership Committee
This group is charged with recruiting new members. Input will be solicited for membership educational and networking events and recognition programs. FY05 focus is the regional member recruitment contest.

Tourism Grant Task Force
This group meets in the fall to review grant proposals and to select grant recipients from the pool of applicants.  (Committee members cannot apply)

Legislative Task Force
This group monitors key tourism issues and responds accordingly. Most of the work of this group centers around state house days held in the spring.  Emphasis is given to visitor center, MOTT and RTC 1038 funding.

Bylaw Task Force
This group of board members meets in the fall to review the CVB bylaws to ensure they continue to reflect the strategic and operational practices of the CVB.

VISITOR CENTER ADVISORS
The members of the Board of Directors who serve on this advisory group will be called on from time to time to advise staff on issues related to the marketing, retail, and operation of the Maria Miles visitor center on I95S. The goal this year is to review our small retail business at the Visitor Center
