North of Boston CVB Tourism Statistics The North of Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau
estimates there were 2.7 million or 11% of all visitors to Massachusetts that visited the region
 in 1999-2000. The majority of North of Boston visitors come from one of five states:
 Massachusetts (19%), New York (14%), New Hampshire (10%), Connecticut (9%), and New Jersey (8%). Most who visit the region are on a leisure trip. Most frequently reported trip activities visiting historical places and museums (18%), shopping (16%), outdoor
 activities (10%) and attending cultural events and festivals (8%).
